Through therapy with me, you will find support and understanding of the problem. Several factors are likely contributing to your gambling problem. We will identify those factors and begin the work to stop gambling.

Q:  How do I know if I really have a gambling problem?

A:  Do you want to stop gambling? Are you losing time, chasing your losses? Is gambling impacting your work, school, relationships, self-esteem?  These are some of the questions you can ask yourself, and if you answer “yes,” you may have a gambling problem. 

Q:  Do I have to stop gambling completely?

A:  Maybe, maybe not. Depending on how gambling has affected your life, you may need to stop. We will explore this together.

Q: What are sessions like?

A: The first session or two, I will be trying to get to know you and gain a full understanding of your experiences and concerns. We will also determine your goals of therapy. Then, we will get to work. Some sessions will specifically cover topics of debts, finances, relationships, etc. We will also identify additional supportive resources.
